Sustainable Remedy Waste to Generate SiO2 Functionalized on Graphene Oxide for Removal of U(VI) Ions

The Hummer process is applied to generate graphene oxide from carbon stocks’ discharged Zn-C batteries waste. SiO2 produced rice husks through the wet process. Subsequently, reacted with form silica/graphene (SiO2/GO) as a sorbent material. XRD, BET, SEM, EDX, and FTIR were employed characterize SiO2/GO. Factors affecting U(VI) sorption on SiO2/GO, including pH, time, dosage of ions’ concentration, temperature, considered. experimental data consequences indicated that uptake capacity SiO2/GO towards 145.0 mg/g at pH value 4.0. kinetic calculations match pseudo second-order model quite well. Moreover, isotherm consistent Langmuir model. procedures occur spontaneously randomly, well exothermically. has essentially regenerated 0.8 M H2SO4 1:50 S:L phase ratio after 60 min agitation time. Lastly, elution in seven cycles check persistent usage
